Certififates
For past 10 years Hamrah Charitable Trust has been a driving force for positive change, dedicating our efforts to community development with a special focus on women, children, and youth in Gujarat especially the rural areas of the Kheda, Anand, and Vadodara districts. We’ve worked tirelessly to empower communities, and here’s a look at some of our past activities and achievements.
We believe in creating a safe and supportive environment for women and children. Our work in this area includes:
Community Counseling & Support
Our volunteers and staff provide in-home counseling to families, helping them with critical decisions related to health, education, and financial stability. We’ve helped hundreds of families improve their daily lives. We also encourage women to form Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to promote savings and shared decision-making.
Hamrah Shelter Home
In past we operated a safe haven in the Kheda district for victims of domestic violence and trafficking. The shelter offered comprehensive support, including counseling, medical care, legal aid, and skill-building programs. During the COVID-19 lockdown, the shelter provided refuge and support to 22 women.
Educational Support and Vocational Training
We’ve provided educational materials, tuition classes, and awareness programs that have directly benefited 102 children and adolescents. Additionally, we’ve hosted seminars on leadership and career guidance for youth, with 120 participants in one year, which resulted in 37 students—25 girls and 12 boys—getting promoted for higher studies.
Our skill development programs help people, particularly women, achieve sustainable livelihoods. Through courses like Bed Side Assistant (Nursing) and beauty parlor training, 29 underprivileged girls were able to find employment, earning an average of Rs. 7,000-8,000 per month.
Health and Awareness Programs
We’ve conducted awareness and vaccination drives for diseases like HIV/AIDS and Polio.
De-addiction Efforts
Following a survey on drug abuse in rural, slum, and highway populations, we launched de-addiction awareness programs to address the most common issues of tobacco and alcohol abuse.
Effective Coordination
We collaborate closely with local teachers, doctors, and Anganwadi workers to ensure our programs are effectively implemented without duplicating efforts.
Financial Assistance
We work with government department and private placement center to connect unemployed youth with job opportunities and help disable people also to get employment. We help unemployed youth and people with disabilities find jobs. We also support self-employment by assisting with business creation and growth.
