Mr. Abdulrashid’s life is a testimony to selfless service inspired by personal loss  From buildiA successful entrepreneur and dedicated social worker with over three decades of experience in public service, disaster relief, and community welfare. , Mr. Abdulrashid has devoted his life to serving humanity with compassion , he is actively involved in animal welfare and human relief and welfare activities. His work also focuses on improving the lives of needy people and orphans and uplifting women, helping them achieve safety, stability, and self-reliance. His journey reflects a rare blend of leadership, empathy, and unwavering social commitmentng hospitals in backward regions to feeding riot victims and uplifting widows, he has relentlessly worked to bring dignity and justice to the most vulnerable.

Social welfare Initiatives

Healthcare and Medical Services

Public  Hospital (1994)

Founded in Balasinor, this hospital offered 14 years of free medical and gynecological services for affordable and free for needy.

Salya Hospital, Palej (2016–2018)

Under his leadership, the hospital conducted 278 medical camps, serving over 7,300 free OPD patients and providing free medicines. Notably, it performed 2,347 free cataract surgeries and offered free chemotherapy to 32 cancer patients, making it the only Muslim-run hospital in Gujarat to provide this service at the time. He also assisted with 30 free knee replacement surgeries and care for 821 free IPD patients.

Sabiha Hospital, Botad

Collaborated with Maulana Gulam Mohhmed Vastanvi to establish Sabiha Hospital, Gujarat’s first Muslim hospital.

Chandola Talav Demolition (2025)

During Ahmedabad’s demolition drive from April to June 2025, which officially saw about 10,500 structures torn down, Abdul Rashid swiftly established a crucial food relief camp for the hundreds of families displaced in the Chandola Talav area. Recognizing the extreme vulnerability of these poor laborers who suddenly found themselves homeless and without savings, Abdul Rashid diligently assisted hundreds of individuals in securing essential documents, provided financial aid to help them apply for government flats, and distributed sheets for tents /shelters directly addressing the dire need.

Disaster and Riot Relief (2001-Present)

2001 Kutch Earthquake

Provided on-the-ground aid to victims.

2002 Gujarat Riots

A member of the Sarva Dharma Samiti formed by President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, he provided relief to 49 villages across Kheda, Mahisagar, and Panchmahal districts. He offered critical ambulance transportation for victims during curfew hours, provided legal aid, and helped residents file First Information Reports (FIRs) that were previously ignored. He also assisted victims such as Bilkis Bano.

COVID-19 Pandemic

Distributed over 2,570 ration kits and supplied oxygen to multiple hospitals and trusts during the second wave.

Chandola Talav Demolition (2025)

Established a food and shelter relief camp for hundreds of displaced families, assisting them in securing essential documents, financial aid for government flats, and providing materials for temporary shelters.

Education and Empowerment

Educational Support

Provided school kits and notebooks to impoverished children and funded the education of numerous students, including his own children, who are now doctors.

Skill Development

Organized free computer classes and implemented training programs for tailoring and handcart distribution to promote employment.

Widow Welfare

Vidhva Ration Sahay (2004-Present)

Initiated a monthly ration program for widows. The program uses a pass system to ensure a dignified, queue-free experience for hundreds of families.

Water Conservation

Water for All

Installed hand pumps and borewells in over 16 water-scarce villages and spearheaded the restoration of wells to provide reliable water access for marginalized farming communities.

Covid 19

During the COVID-19 lockdown, Mr. Abdulrashid, along with his friends, distributed 2,750 food kits (one-month ration each) across Panchmahal, Kheda, and Mahisagar districts of Gujarat. During the second wave, he also supported the supply of oxygen to hospitals, charitable trusts, and patients at home.
